Are you planning to transfer your existing website or create a brand new website to/with FastComet? If you are, then we are pretty sure the main question that’s buzzing in your mind is ‘What’s the loading time of the website is going to be like?’.
Fortunately for you, we have set up a basic website with FastComet and tested out the loading time. The following is the outcome.
Note: The plan that we have signed up with FastComet is the WordPress StartSmart plan. And the datacenter location that we have selected is Singapore.
By going through the report below, you should keep in mind that the datacenter location that we have chosen for the website is Singapore and we have not used any CDN on the website.
Loading time tested from Melbourne, Australia
Tested from New York, US
Tested from Stockholm, Sweden
As you can see from the tests above, the website loads faster in Melbourne, Australia compared to US and Sweden. This is simply because Melbourne, Australia is located closer to the datacenter of the website which is Singapore.
We then tested the website’s loading time in Singapore using another (Load Impact) website speed test and the following is the outcome.
Note: We used another website speed test to test the loading time in Singapore because the website speed test (Pingdom) that we used for the 3 locations above does not have Singapore registered.
As you can see from the screenshot above, the website loads averagely under 400ms in Singapore.
In other words, the website loads very quickly if it’s loaded in the exact location as the datacenter.
If you want your website to load fast in all locations around the world, then FastComet is not a wise choice. On the other hand, if your website is focused in only serving users in a particular location, then FastComet is a suitable and affordable choice.
FastComet has 8 datacenter locations available for you to choose from and they are;
- Chicago, United States
- Dallas, United States
- Newark, United States
- London, United Kingdom
- Frankfurt, Germany
- Amsterdam, Netherlands
- Tokyo, Japan
