What Is Live Photos In An iPhone

Live Photos is a new camera feature that was first introduced in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It allows users to capture moving images instead of the typical still images.

To be more precise, Live Photos actually records what happens 1.5 seconds before and after you capture an image which is what causes the movement and sound in the image.

How to take a Live Photo image with your iPhone

To capture a Live Photo, first you will need to launch the camera app. Then, make sure that you camera is set to Photo mode.

Next, tap on the Live Photo icon which is located at the top of the screen. See the screenshot below for your reference:

Once it is activated, you should see the following:

Next, hold your iPhone still and begin capturing Live Photos like how you capture a normal photo.

How to set a Live Photo as your iPhone’s lock screen

To set a Live Photo as your iPhone’s lock screen, simply head over to your Photos app. Next, tap on the Live Photos album and select a Live Photo that you want to use as a lock screen. Once you have selected it, tap on the photo and followed by tapping on the Share button located at the bottom left of the screen. See the screenshot below for your reference:

Then, tap on Use as Wallpaper.

Followed by tapping on Set.

And lastly, tap on Set Lock Screen.
